The Chair will participate to the conference day organised by the organisation Handicap Vie Dignité, registration period is under way. (August 2018)

Next October 24 the conference day « Ensemble… vers la bientraitance » organised by Handicap Vie Dignité (HVD) will take place. Sponsored by the Fonds Hélène Rumak, this day will be about the respect and the exercise of public CHSLD residents’ rights.

As well as being involved in the organisation committee of the event, the Chair will participate to the activities of the day. Indeed, Marie Beaulieu, Chairholder will take part in the opening conference hosted by Johanne Ravenda, president and co-founder of Handicap Vie Dignité with the late Hélène Rumak. Marie-Ève Bédard, which wrote her  doctoral thesis within the Chair, will co-host a workshop about La portée et les limites des actions des comités des usagers dans le traitement des situations de maltraitance envers les personnes aînées ou vulnérables.

Registration for the day is under way. Please take note that a live transmission is planned for those who will not be able to be there and that video sequences will be available at a later date. Furthermore, the conferences and workshops will be offered in French and in English. Consult the HVD’s website for further information.
