Since 2021, Marie Beaulieu has been one of the experts involved with the working group of the Centre national de ressources en travail social (CNRTS) (National Resource Center of Social Work) created by the French Ministry of Health and Solidarity

Across Canada, four Regional Advisory Councils have recently been established by the CIHR Institute of Aging (IA).

Established by the Québec Minister of Families following the adoption of the Concerted Action Plan to Prevent and Counter Bullying and Cyberbullying 2020–2025 this seven-member committee supports the ministry in the implementation of its first measure.

By decree adopted by the Québec National Assembly, Marie Beaulieu’s mandate has been renewed for three more years (2021 to 2024). 

Marie Beaulieu is an honorary member of the Board of Directors at the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA). Her mandate is to ensure that this Canadian organisation is represented in Québec and internationally and forge links with the INPEA.

Under the direction of Hélène Carbonneau (University of Québec at Trois-Rivières), the first project comes under the funding agency's 'Research program on older adults experiencing the dynamics of marginalization and social exclusion.' The project will take place from 2020 to 2023 ($222,246).

As a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Elder Abuse and Neglect, Marie Beaulieu’s first mandate is to put forward contributions to the social sciences research field that focus on the issues of the mistreatment and neglect of older persons, which are at the heart of this high-quality, multidisciplinary publication.

Entitled 'How to Better Tackle Elder Abuse in Belgium?', the report identifies avenues for improving detection and taking charge of situations of mistreatment of older adults in this country.

Throughout 2021, the Research Chair will participate in two working committees that will analyse, in-depth and each according to their mandate, the ethical issues faced by occupational therapists in situations of organisational mistreatment and present possible solutions that could be mobilised.

Titled The Mistreatment of Older Adults: Definitions, public actions and the experiences of stakeholders, this issue of the magazine is edited by Marie Beaulieu (Québec) and Françoise Le Borgne-Uguen (France).
