The Un-Menamais project was conducted from 2017 to 2021 and contributed to a better understanding of the mechanisms, nature, magnitude, and impact of sexual violence in Belgium on women, men, transgender people, their peers and offsprings, professionals and society in general.

The project titled Factors shaping the global political priority of addressing elder abuse started in 2020, following the launch of the Decade of Healthy Ageing World Health Organisation (WHO).

In 2019, in partnership with the Grand Rassemblement des Aînés de Vaudreuil et Soulanges (G.R.A.V.E.S), the Research Chair obtained a grant from the Partnership Engage program of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada totaling $24,980.

The Research Report stems from the project entitled: To Promote ‘Living Well Together’ and Counter Resident-to-Resident Mistreatment: Improving Community Living in private retirement residences.

The Canadian Department of Justice has mandated Marie Beaulieu to lead a pan-Canadian consultation focusing on current gaps in population-based data collection regarding the mistreatment of older adults.

Under the SSHRC’s Joint Initiative funding program and in partnership with the Fédération de l’âge d’or du Québec, this one-year $25,000 grant enables the completion of the project entitled Co-development of an Ethical Frame of Reference to Counter Organisational Mistreatment of Older Adults in Québec.

The Canadian Ministry of Justice mandates Marie Beaulieu to lead a pan-Canadian consultation focusing on current gaps in population-based data collection regarding the mistreatment of older adults.

Under the direction of Hélène Carbonneau (University of Québec at Trois-Rivières), the first project comes under the funding agency's 'Research program on older adults experiencing the dynamics of marginalization and social exclusion.' The project will take place from 2020 to 2023 ($222,246).

Following the submission of its first phase report to the OPHQ on December 20, 2019, the Research Chair received the endorsement of this funding body to continue the project in 2020 – 2021.

On October 28, 2020, the Institut de la statistique du Québec made public a research report entitled l’Enquête sur la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées vivant à domicile (2017-2020) (Survey on the Mistreatment of Older Québec Adults Living at Home, 2017-2020). Over the last three years, Chairholder Marie Beaulieu has contributed to the intersectorial work leading to this first statistical portrait of the mistreatment of older Québec adults living at home.
