2022 began strongly for the Research Chair with four oral presentations to diverse audiences: health and social services professionals, representatives of community organisations, Service Quality and Complaints Commissioners, etc.

The Réseau Québécois de Recherche sur la Vieillissement (RQRV) allocated a $25,000 grant to Professor Mélanie Levasseur (Univ of Sherbrooke) to conduct a project entitled: Redefining Social Participation in Old Age: The voices of older women and men from the baby-boomer generation as the key to healthy aging?

The Chair’s Research Report on the project Psychological and financial mistreatment of older adults with disabilities in Québec, funded by the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec, has been finalised.

The project titled Factors shaping the global political priority of addressing elder abuse started in 2020, following the launch of the Decade of Healthy Ageing World Health Organisation (WHO).
