View a conference presented by Marie Beaulieu as part of the Global Café series from the International Federation on Ageing (May 2021)

Themes: Conference

During this three-part presentation entitled Plans of Actions to Counter Elder Abuse and Mistreatment, Marie Beaulieu:

  1. Presents a global portrait of the actions to counter mistreatment in the context of the pandemic;
  2. In the same context, specifically addresses the situation in Québec;
  3. Concludes by linking the preceding themes with the importance of developing an action plan to counter mistreatment while, at the same time, recognising their limitations.

She primarily bases her comments on two recent publications she authored or co-authored:

COVID-19 and residential care facilities: issues and concerns identified by the international network prevention of elder abuse (INPEA)

Ageism and COVID-19: what does our society’s response say about us?
