The CCEG of the Cégep de Drummondville, the Living Lab en innovation ouverte (LLio) of the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup, SOS violence conjugale, the Maison d’hébergement Simonne-Monet-Chartrand, the Équipe de Recherches Appliquées et Interdisciplinaires sur les Violences intimes, familiales et structurelles (RAIV), as well as the Institut et Haute École de la Santé La Source HES-SO has led from March 2021 to March 2023, a research action entitled: “Violence within aged couples living at home during a confinement period: reinforcing the sense of security with a better understanding of these situations and the realisation.

Following this research action, the video clips Domestic violence does not stop at the age of retirement: understanding, acting and better equip! (La violence conjugale n’arrête pas à l’âge de la retraite : comprendre, agir et outiller !) to raise awareness were developed. These clips aim to prevent and counter domestic violence among older adults living at home in a confinement period, but also of post-confinement. They shine a light on situations of domestic violence among older adults, interventions to prevent and counter them, as well as references to organizations specialised in domestic violence.
