Each year, the Research Chair on Mistreatment of Older Adults participates in awareness-raising activities surrounding World Elder Abuse Awareness Day held on June 15. Here is a partial list of our commitments in 2021.
If the activity is open to the general public, we have added the appropriate link for you to register. Should the event be taped and made available to the general public, it will be stored for viewing in our website’s Media Library section.

- Leboeuf, R., and Beaulieu, M. (2021, June 15). Round table discussion on defending the rights of older adults – Aging with Rights: Ending Elder Abuse in Canada. [Webinar]. In honour of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, this activity is hosted by the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse in honour of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Registration is free of charge on the CNPEA website.

- Beaulieu, M. (2021, June 16). Voices of older persons with disabilities who have experienced mistreatment. [Webinar]. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2021 – International Conference organised by Trinity College Dublin and the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse.
Several addresses by researchers and practitioners will be spotlighted between 10 am and 1 pm Québec time. Marie Beaulieu will speak for approximately 20 minutes, starting at 10:45 am. Registration is free of charge!
