Watch Marie Beaulieu’s (pre-recorded) webinar, held in honour of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (July 2020)
June 15 of every year is a unique occasion to promote the continued development of a society without violence towards nor neglect of older adults. This day, recognized by the United Nations, is an opportunity to step back and underline the initiatives undertaken in the fight against mistreatment and showcase actions to promote ‘good treatment’ on local, national, and international levels.
In recognition of this important day, Marie Beaulieu, Chairholder, hosted a webinar entitled ‘World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: The importance of asking for help.’
Drawing from the results of the DAMIA project, this video-conference deals with the obstacles and incentives to asking for help and focuses on the various attitudes to adopt to better encourage mistreated older adults to seek help when they need it.
We invite you to watch this webinar on the Research Chair’s website!
