The 2022 congress took place from July 18 to July 22 in Ottawa. Marie Beaulieu presided on July 21 a symposium entitled Aggression Towards Older Adults: An Overview and Contemporary Issues.

Four conferences were presented during this symposium, three of them in which Marie Beaulieu participated in. The themes discussed were:

  • Trajectories of Services for Mistreated Older Adults with Disabilities (presented by Hélène Carbonneau, professor at the University of Québec in Trois-Rivières)
  • Mental health and help-seeking behavior upon sexual victimization in older adults

Other members of the Chair also contributed to the presented conferences, such as Anabelle Rondeau-Leclaire and Kevin St-Martin.

The ISRA is interdisciplinary and international and proposes biennial events. The members come from tens of countries and are from fields such as anthropology, behavioural genetics, criminology, education, ethology and animal behaviour, neurosciences, political sciences, psychiatry, psychology and sociology.
