A Research Project funded by l’Office des personnes handicapées du Québec begins its second year (January 2020)

Following the submission of its first phase report to the OPHQ on December 20, 2019, the Research Chair received the endorsement of this funding body to continue the project in 2020 – 2021.

In reporting the different administrative steps undertaken since the launch of this project, the development of the research documentation, the nature of the disabilities of recruited participants and their numbers, the research team demonstrates the consistent progression of the project in documenting the psychological and material or financial mistreatment of older adults living in the Estrie region of Quebec.

In the second year of the project, the research team plans to carry out an initial presentation of preliminary results in a scientific conference to be given at the congress of the Canadian Disability Studies Association in May 2020.
