Congratulations to several students at the Research Chair for their progress in their doctoral studies! (June 2020)
On May 14, Marie-Chantal Falardeau, doctoral student in communications at the University of Québec at Trois-Rivères, received her Ph.D. after successfully defending her thesis. The final submission of her thesis is imminent. In June 2020, she begins her post-doctoral studies under the direction of Marie Beaulieu. These studies will be undertaken for the Chartwell-2 project.
On May 18, Florence Bourges, cotutelle student in sociology at the Université du Havre (France) and in gerontology at the University of Sherbrooke, completed her doctoral studies by passing her comprehensive examination with her oral defense. She is now a doctoral candidate and, in the months to come, will focus entirely on data collection in France and Québec, as well as writing her thesis.
On May 22, Marie Crevier successfully defended her doctoral thesis, crowning ten years of intellectual labour. The final submission of her thesis is imminent, and projets of scientific writing will follow.
