As co-researcher, Marie Beaulieu is awarded funding from the Canadian Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) (April 2021)

Under the SSHRC’s Joint Initiative funding program and in partnership with the Fédération de l’âge d’or du Québec, this one-year $25,000 grant enables the completion of the project entitled Co-development of an Ethical Frame of Reference to Counter Organisational Mistreatment of Older Adults in Québec.

The project is led by Professor Marie-Josée Drolet of the University of Québec at Trois-Rivières with the support of co-researchers Marie Beaulieu (UdeS), Chantal Viscogliosi (UdeS), and Marie-Michèle Lord (UQTR).  The project stems from an analysis of collected data concerning the challenges faced by occupational therapists in the health and social services network and the associated needs to counter organisational mistreatment.

The Ethical Frame of Reference resulting from the research work will be available at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.

To learn more about this initiative concerning the issues practitioners face, please watch the video (in French) entitled Projet de bienveillance des aînés.
