This fall, the Research Chair begins data collection for the project entitled: Trajectoires de services locaux intersectorielles en matière de lutte contre la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées (September 2021)
Themes: Research Project
In 2019, in partnership with the Grand Rassemblement des Aînés de Vaudreuil et Soulanges (G.R.A.V.E.S), the Research Chair obtained a grant from the Partnership Engage program of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada totaling $24,980.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the project entitled The trajectories of local, intersectoral services in the fight against the mistreatment of older persons was suspended until September 2021.
The one-year project entitled aims to map the trajectories of local, intersectoral services in the fight against the mistreatment of older adults. It will concurrently develop a methodological approach reproducible in diverse regions of Québec.
Research activities will focus on four objectives:
- Produce a summary of the internal practices of the two (2) local networks in the C.I.S.S.S.M.O. (Integrated Health and Social Services Center of Montérégie-West) region engaged in countering mistreatment.
- Produce a step-by-step assessment of the intersectoral practices to counter mistreatment of the members of these two networks.
- Map the two trajectories of local intersectoral services combatting mistreatment.
- Produce a guide presenting the approach in establishing the trajectories of local, intersectoral services to enrich the practices in countering mistreatment.
