Marie Beaulieu participates in a round table organised by the World Health Organisation in support of the launch of the United Nation’s web platform dedicated to the Decade of Healthy Ageing (September 2021)
On September 8, between 6 and 7 am Québec time, Marie Beaulieu will speak at a multisectoral round-table exchange organised by the WHO in support of the launch of the online knowledge exchange platform of the United Nation’s Decade of Healthy Ageing initiative.
As invited participant, she will make a brief declaration on the importance of worldwide knowledge sharing, be it from the scientific community, experienced experts, the private sector or the political realm, in order to improve and promote equitable, healthy ageing throughout the world.
Her contributions reflect her experience as co-director of a WHO Collaborating Center working on age-friendly communities and the fight against the mistreatment of older adults.
Following this, a period of information exchange with other round-table participants will take place. Also present will be: a representative of a WHO member state (Togo), a representative of an intergovernmental organisation (the African Union), a representative of civil society (Francophone Network of Age-friendly Cities) and a member of the private sector (Global Coalition on Aging).
