“I am truly honored to continue the fight to counter mistreatment as Chairholder of the Research Chair on Mistreatment of Older Adults. For more than a decade, I witnessed and contributed to the research advancements in this field. I sincerely thank the government of Quebec for emphasizing once again the importance of investing in the search for solutions based on conclusive data. My predecessor, Marie Beaulieu, was able to develop and maintain an efficient and solid structure to support the research and has shown with such brio the ability of Quebec to become an important actor on the international stage. I intend to persevere down this path by staying mindful to the emerging needs of older adults and by supporting the development of lasting social innovations.”
