ROLE OF CHAIR IN THE PROJECT:

Initiator and leader of the project

RESEARCH PROBLEM:

In order to provide references on the website, but also to serve as input for the ongoing work in various areas, the Chair conducts two literature reviews which are regularly updated. There is a literature review of articles published on the international scene on more than thirty topics. In addition, since 2009, when the Chairholder has worked in producing the Governmental Action Plan to Counter Elder Abuse, a scientific watch of all articles produced by Quebec researchers has been ongoing.

GOAL OF THE PROJECT OR RESEARCH QUESTION:

Producing an updated database of scientific articles written by Quebec authors and international researchers.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Offer an up-to-date scientific watch on the Chair’s website.
  2. Build a reference pool that can feed the various research projects carried out by the Chair.

METHODOLOGY:

The Quebec watch:

  • Every six months, perform a literature review of scientific articles produced by Québec authors (targeted databases in English and French).
  • Classify the articles in an End Note bank according to the corresponding themes;
  • Publish the results on the Chair’s website;
  • When articles are freely available, specify the link to access them.

The international watch

  • Every six months, perform a literature review of scientific articles produced by Quebec authors (targeted databases in English and French).
  • Classify the articles in an End Note bank according to the corresponding themes;
  • Publish the results on the Chair’s website.
  • When articles are freely available, specify the link to access them.

PROJECT ADVANCEMENT:

The last update of the Québec scientific articles was done in 2019. The references were put online in November 2019.

The updating of the international scientific articles is in progress. During the fifth year of the Chair, we reviewed our research methodology to make it more systematic. The references found are gradually put online on the website since November 2015.
