The holding of this Forum is one of the objectives of the Governmental Action Plan to Counter Mistreatment of Older Adults 2017-2022. With this Forum, the Québec government aims to encourage exchanges on material and financial mistreatment, to identify possible solutions to counter this problem, and to encourage mobilization for concrete and concerted action.
In doing so, various actors are asked to comment on each of the three themes throughout the day: representatives of the financial, legal, government and research communities, groups promoting the rights of older adults, as well as diverse groups of professionals. Marie Beaulieu, the Research Chair on Mistreatment of Older Adults, is among those who will speak.
The Live Forum can be viewed via the following link: Watch the Live Forum. All Forum content will also be available on the Ministry of Families YouTube channel. The participant’s booklet will allow you to follow the thread of the exchanges (In French only). The Forum will start at 8:30 a.m. and will end around 4:30 p.m.
