Physician-director of the Secteur de psychiatrie et de psychothérapie pour personne âgée et du Réseau fribourgeois de santé mentale (Sector of psychiatry and psychotherapy for older adults and Fribourgeois Network of mental health) (RFSM), Dr. Serge Zumbach during a scientific leave of two months explores the research field of countering mistreatment towards older adults in Québec.
Many activities are planned. Notably, mister Zumbach will participate to a working session dedicated to the terminology used in Québec regarding countering mistreatment towards older adults. He will also be present during a meeting focusing on the advancement of knowledge about intimidation towards older adults. He is also invited to meet a working committee about the surveillance of mistreatment steered by the The Department of Health and Social services.
Mister Zumbach will present the different components occupying an important place in countering mistreatment towards older adults in Switzerland. This presentation in the form of a seminar will focus on the ethical component at the heart of countering mistreatment towards older adults.
