The Chair welcomed partners from the Belgian-based organization Respect Seniors for a working week as part of a new project (December 12, 2016)

The purpose of this project is to allow the two organizations to share their expertise regarding intersystem practices. The Chair is committed to promoting intersystem practices jointly developed by the City of Montreal Police Service (SPVM) as part of the IPRAS project. As for Respect Seniors, the organization will share its working practices in duo consisting of a social worker and a psychologist.

While most of the work between the two partners is performed at a distance, the grant allows each partner to hold a working week in the partner’s country in order to facilitate the progress of the work and discussions. From November 23 to 30, the Chair had the pleasure to welcome Dr. Nicolas Berg, President and founder of Respect Seniors and Dominique Langhendries, Director. To learn more about the various activities carried out during this working week, see the seminar summary. The Chair, in turn, will visit Respect Seniors in Belgium next spring.
