The Chair opened the session by making the first presentation of ten minutes, which was followed by a 35-minute question period. In total, some 30 organizations will take part in the consultations. In order to prepare and to deepen its reflection on Bill 115, the Chair has prepared a brief which was presented to the Committee on Citizen Relations on January 13. All submissions received by the Commission will be made public.
According to the Chair, the adoption of Bill 115 would certainly be beneficial for older adults or persons in a vulnerable situation who are experiencing a situation of mistreatment. However, certain elements should be enhanced. See the Chair’s brief for more information (available in French only).
