Themes: Annual Report

Thanks to the policy Vieillir et vivre ensemble. Chez soi, dans sa communauté, au Québec (Aging and Living Together. At home, in One’s Community, in Québec) adopted in 2012, the Governmental Action Plan to Counter Mistreatment towards Older Adults, which was supposed to end in 2015 was prolonged to 2017. We are happy to announce that the Chair, the University of Sherbrooke and the Senior’s of the Ministry of The Family has signed an agreement which ensure the prolongation of the Chair’s activities until October 2017. We will have a budget of $200 000 per year to achieve our objectives. This will allow us to continue our activities in progress in our projects which are said “pro bono“, that do not involve grants from external partners.

This mandate comes from two measures of the Plan d’action concerté pour prévenir et contrer l’intimidation 2015-2018 (Concerted Action Plan to Prevent and Counter Bullying 2015-2018)(measures 3.16 and 5.2) for which the Chair was nominated as principal partner. Activities are already in progress in this field through three projects :
