Presentation of some of its realisations.
Here are some highlights from the year 2011-2012 :
- Publication of the book La maltraitance envers les aînés. Changer le regard from the Presses de l’Université Laval
- 22 ongoing research projects (nine funded, six pro bono and seven student projects) four were completed in 2011-2012
- Launch of the website (great interviews, scientific watch, ongoing activities, regular update of news, etc.)
- Realisation of nine great interviews with international researchers (soon to be online on the website)
- 29 publications and 39 scientific communications addressed to different audiences (scientific, professional, in basic or continuous training, general public, etc.)
- Welcoming of different visitors, such as the Honourable Minister Wong, federal responsible of seniors
- Organisation of three scientific symposiums within the Chair
- Consultation as an expert for the production of the public policy Vieillir et vivre ensemble
- Testimony as an expert in front of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of the Federal Parliament on the bill C-36 (reform of the Criminal Code about the sentencing in situations of mistreatment towards older adults)
- Recipient of the Mérite estrien in the innovation category with Suzanne Garon, for the launch of the program VADA / MADA (Villes amies des aînés / Municipalités amies des aînés)
Strong presence in the medias (at least 34 interview given to radio, on television or in newspapers)
