Themes: Partner

In 2014, Ann Soden and Roxane Leboeuf, the Chair’s Coordinator, had co-authored a chapter on the Current Legal Practice in Quebec in Situations of Financial Exploitation in the book L’exploitation financière des personnes aînées : prévention résolution et sanction. This book was published by the Editions Yvon Blais, under the direction of Raymonde Crête, Ivan Tchotourian and Marie Beaulieu. Over the last year, Marie Beaulieu and Roxane Leboeuf have jointly worked with Ann Soden to write a chapter on how to apply participatory justice during conflict situations encountered by older adults. During the same period, Marie Beaulieu has also drafted a chapter on mistreatment of older adults with Daphné-Maude Thivierge, a former student of the Chair, now a lawyer at the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre. These two chapters are going to be presented in books that will be published this year under the direction of Ann Soden.

She also edited a chapter of a book to which Marie Beaulieu and Roxane Leboeuf also collaborated. This last chapter was the foundation for a presentation jointly carried out by Ann Soden and Marie Beaulieu as part of the Annual Symposium of the Quebec Bar which took place on February 3, 2017. This presentation was entitled La place de la conciliation dans certaines matières non contentieuse : La justice participative et les personnes aînées (The Place of Mediation in Non-Contentious Issues: Participatory Justice and Older Adults).
