The Chair receives a project grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) (Decembre 2019)

The Research Chair, in partnership with the Grand Rassemblement des Aînés de Vaudreuil et Soulanges (G.R.A.V.E.S.), has obtained $24,980 in funding from the SSHRC’s Partnership Engage Program.

The project entitled ‘Trajectoires de services locaux intersectorielles en matière de lutte contre la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées’ will take place over the next 12 months.

Its goal is to define the trajectories of local, intersectoral services in the fight against the mistreatment of older adults and develop a methodological approach that is reproducible in diverse regions throughout Quebec.

Research activities will take place in the territory of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Montérégie-Ouest (CISSSMO) (the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center of the Monteregie-West region). The project has four (4) objectives :

  • To produce an overview of the internal practices of the two (2) local networks engaged to counter mistreatment in the CISSSMO region;
  • To produce a step-by-step assessment of the intersectoral practices of the members of the two networks in combatting mistreatment;
  • To map the two trajectories of local, intersectoral services to counter mistreatment;
  • To produce a guide for the approach in establishing the trajectories of local, intersectoral services to order to enrich the practices in countering mistreatment.

Stay informed. The data collection phase will officially begin after project approval by the Ethics Committee.
