Her essay is about the issues linked to intervention aiming to counter mistreatment towards older adults at home in Québec.

Annie Riendeau was a research assistant for the Research Chair for almost a year and a half. She worked on the development of an intervention guide on mistreatment towards older adults. During this time she completed her master’s thesis about the issues linked to intervention aiming to counter mistreatment towards older adults living at home in Québec.

This essay aimed to, based on a systematic review of articles published by researchers from Québec, describe the issues, the challenges and the limits of intervention with older adults living at home. To conclude, a reflection was made about the issues not addressed by the research and the challenges that comes from intervention in the practice of gerontological social work.

For the past several weeks, Annie was hired as a social worker at the CSSS of Memphrémagog, we wish her a lot of success in her new career!
