A student of the Chair published an article in Le Sociographe magazine. (August 6, 2015)

it falls within the framework of her PhD thesis that deals with the defense of seniors’ rights and more specifically on how the users’ committees (UCs) of Quebec’s health and social services centres (CSSS) cope with mistreatment situations toward older users that are brought to their attention.

The article raises the defense of seniors’ rights as a protection mechanism. It aims at enhancing the reflection on the meaning and implications of this mechanism and, more specifically, the practice of empowerment. Through examples drawn from the practice in Quebec, this text promotes the link between the research data and the reality of seniors and practitioners.
