On August 17-18, The École d’été de perfectionnement sur le vieillissement de l’Université de Moncton (Summer school of advanced training in aging from the Université de Moncton) held its first edition of training sessions under the theme "Se perfectionner pour mieux intervenir" (Continuous training for better interventions). The purpose of this program is to provide French conferences and training sessions on various topics related to aging. In order to do this, numerous experts are involved. This program is intended for any type of health and social services professionals who are working with older adults.  The aim is to share successful practices for all professionals.

The Partners’ Forum to counter mistreatment of older adults was held on June 17, 2015.This Forum was intended to provide a continuing training day to a large number of practitioners dedicated to countering mistreatment of older adults through several presentations given by experts.

The Forum on police training organized by the Quebec Police College was held on January 5 and consisted of several thematic workshops, including one entitled: Guide d’intervention au regard de la maltraitance envers des personnes aînées (Intervention guide regarding mistreatment of older adults). Marie Beaulieu and Nathalie Lavoie, Advisor for the Research and Strategic Planning Division of the City of Montreal Police Service for developing projects on mistreatment, were invited to present a workshop entitled: La pratique policière auprès des aînés maltraités : un nouveau défi de formation dans un Québec vieillissant (Police Practice with Mistreated Older Adults: a New Training Challenge in an Aging Quebec).
