On October 23, the DAMIA Practice Guide won 1st prize in the Category ‘Taking action for and with the user, their families and friends, and the population in general’  at the Excellence Awards of the Integrated University Health and Social Services Network of the Eastern Townships Region.

On September 7, members of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) informed the public of the election of Marie Beaulieu for her excellence in academic and scientific achievements in the field of mistreatment of older adults. In the notice describing Marie Beaulieu, the RSC emphasised her contribution to the development of knowledge in this field and to the recognition of this social problem in terms of intervention practices, advocacy and policies.

In June 2017, members of the National Assembly voted in favour of the appointment of Roxane Leboeuf, Chair Coordinator, as a member of the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (CDPDJ) (The Commission on Human Rights and Youth Rights). Her swearing-in ceremony took place on September 12th at the CDPDJ offices in Montréal and marked her inauguration.
