On June 27, lead researcher Mélanie Levasseur and her team, which includes Marie Beaulieu as co-researcher, obtained a grant from the Quebec Research Funding Agency (FRQ).

This grant is the result of a proposal to the Funding Platform for Intersectoral Research on Ageing, the Audace (Bold) Category, for the project entitled, 'Ending Ageism: Creation of an Intersectoral Action Plan to Enhance the Health, Status and Social Participation of Aging Quebecers'.

The project, expected to last two years, received funding of $127,000. It seeks to create a shared vision concerning the role, the involvement, and the place that older persons should have in society.
