On May 24, and 25, 2018, the biennial training days for regional coordinators took place. Jordan Bédard-Lessard and Isabelle Maillé, two students who have completed their Master’s of Social Work theses under the direction of Marie Beaulieu, Chairholder, each gave a lecture on the issues of volunteer accompaniment in the context of mistreatment.

Based on the results of their theses, Jordan made a presentation on the professionalization of voluntary action in countering financial and material mistreatment, while Isabelle made a presentation on the experience of accompaniment within non-profit organizations of older adults in situations of mistreatment.

From a practical perspective, the two students concluded their presentation in a dialogue with the regional coordinators.
