The Canadian Elder Law Conference was held on November 2 and 3, 2017, in Vancouver. Focusing specifically on legal and political issues affecting older adults, this biennial conference offered an inter-disciplinary perspective on the rights of older adults, policy, avenues for practice, case studies, ethics recommendations and exploring avenues for reform in the field of law.

On November 2, 2017, Marie Beaulieu gave a lecture on the legal needs of mistreated older adults who experience elder abuse and the role of community organizations working with them in this area. This presentation is based on the preliminary analysis of the results of the ABAM-MF project (Volunteering to Counter Material or Financial Mistreatment of Older Adults).
