The 4th National Elder Abuse Conference took place in Melbourne (Australia) from February 23 to 25, 2016. The theme of the Conference was: Ageism, Rights and Innovations. Marie Beaulieu was the keynote speaker on February 24, 2016. She started the day by giving a conference entitled "Countering Elder Abuse in Quebec".

Marie Beaulieu was very active throughout the Conference by giving three more conferences entitled:

  • Elder Abuse Preventative Programs in Quebec (Canada): Three examples.
  • Countering Elder Abuse in Quebec/Canada. Policies and Programs and Role of Seniors.
  • The Quebec Experience Regarding Multidisciplinary Approaches to Elder Abuse.

Each conference was aimed at highlighting the Quebec experience regarding elder abuse.
