The Arrimage Project: Modèle de travail intersectoriel pour contrer la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées (Arrimage: An Intersystem Work Model to Counter Elder Abuse) was completed on March 31, 2015. One of the main objectives of the working model was to develop a Pratical guide for intersectoral duo police officer/practitioner from public or community network of the Health and Social Services sector. Since the completion of the project, knowledge transfer activities have increased, in particular in regard to the guide that came out of the project.

Since March 31, 2015, three presentations have already been given, and five more will be held by the end of 2015. In addition, the Chair is working on two articles, and is designing a workshop that will offer support to professionals interested in implementing such a practice in their work environments.

Because some of our upcoming presentations will be given to an English-speaking audience, the Chair took the opportunity to have the Guide sur la pratique intersectorielle (Pratical guide for intersectoral duo police officer/practitioner) translated into English. This will give professionals interested in setting up such a practice a practical tool in their own language. The Chair’s regular translator, Claudia Delli-Colli, began translating the document in September, and will complete the new guide by mid-October. Like the French version, the English version of the Guide sur la pratique intersectorielle will soon be available online on the Chair’s website. Stay tuned!
