Marika is now a project manager at DIRA-Estrie for a project called "Standing against bullying!"

INVOLVEMENT IN THE CHAIR’S RESEARCH PROJECT(S)

  • Projects : Quebec Scientifique Watch and Research on Mistreatment of Older Adults in Quebec: Summaries of Scientific Articles :
    • The Quebec Scientific Watch has been updated through a systematic search of English and French data banks covering the years 2014 to 2015. We have also personally contacted the Quebec authors to ensure that nothing was omitted or forgotten;
    • Reading of all relevant written material and drafting of reading grids and summaries;
    • Cross-analysis of all the content of reading summaries for the drafting of scientific articles on mistreatment of older adults. (April 2015 to present)
  • Project : Older Adult Bullying :
    • Has prepared for a presentation on the association between youth and older adult bullying. This presentation will be part of an activity on older adult bullying organized by the Association québécoise de gérontologie (The Quebec Association on Gerontology) and will take place in Quebec City on November 20, 2015. (September to November 2015)
  • Project : Sexual Mistreatment of Older Adult :
    • Has read articles collected by the Chair on sexual mistreatment throughout various research projects in preparation for the Chair’s participation in the Forum on sexual assault held in Montreal on June 16, 2015;
    • Took part in the Forum on sexual assault;
    • Collaborated in the drafting of an article on sexual mistreatment that was submitted to the Université Laval’s Revue Recherches Féministes (journal on feminist teaching, research and action) in September 2015. (June to septembre 2015)
  • Project : Bridging Project: Intersectoral Work Model to Countering Mistreatment of Older Adults :
    • Revision of the Practice Guide, the research report and the literature review. (March 2015)
  • Occasional contributions not related to the Chair's research projects :
    • Contributed to the progress of the work of the Committee on Terminology. (Summer and fall of 2015)
